kind of old…

My kids had their First Communion on México a while ago. I made their invitations and I want to share them with you.

BTW, the weather was amazing, because usually in Baja it’s very HOT. Just in case you wanted to know 😉

Here are the pictures:

Our Christmas postcard

My daughter wrote a letter to her friend that suddenly moved to Miami. She has been missing her a lot, so I told her I will find her friends new address. She was so happy. She wrote and also made a family drawing in her card. I loved the drawing. (She has been making family drawings since she was around 3 years old, she soon will be 9). I have been saving them as much as I can. Now in her illustrations she includes our dog,  Guapo that has been with us since June of 2012. I could not let the drawing go, so it end up becoming a new stamp, that also end up being our Christmas postcards for this holiday season and soon will be delivered.

That’s the way the mass production goes and this is the way my desk looks.

Linking to WOYWW, and Paint Party Friday, places that I haven’t

visit in a looong time. Go check them out!

Have an extraordinary day!

printing with my son

My little six years old helped me printing some post cards. We had fun and he loved doing  it. As much as I tried to find time to do art with my kids, seems that school, the house, homework, etc., always get in our way and I end up not having patience to teach them or they don’t have patience either. This time just he and I were working.

Ausente

I’m very absent from my blog. Right now I’m in a hotel in Guanajuato, Mexico with my parents and my kids. We have been traveling for more than a week and we are doing it by car. It’s a long trip. We have stopped in many towns during the trip, and we had to because we are traveling from Mexicali, Baja California until here… for now.The place is sooo beautiful, but unfortunately I don’t have photos to show. I think  I don’t live in this century because I don’t have a smart phone. With that thing will be so easy, and I will be able to share my pictures immediately with you. I have a laptop that my mother in law gave us for our kids a few days before the trip,… I don’t even have pictures of my recent work to share. I found an image from postcards I made a while ago, and this will be what I will share with you today. I hope I can figure out a way soon to put some new pictures. For now I will sacrifice myself and continue enjoying the trip. 🙂

Have a very creative day!

My new blog

For a while I had another blog, and I stayed with “him” around 3 years. But one day, it was gone. I was going to forget all about blogging, but I felt that something was missing. I missed sharing what I did or do. What’s the point of creating something if there is no one else to see it, right? Well, that’s why I’m giving myself a second chance. I created my new blog. Most of my postings will be in spanish because (it’s sad to say) I’m forgetting my language. For the past 10 years that I have been living in the United States, my thoughts have become mixed and my words too. I’m living in a “spanglish” world. I want to recover my language, Mi Español”. Sometimes I will write in both languages and in others, not. Hopefully, the pictures I will show you will help me not to have to write much, after all I’m a really bad writer.

For now I’m showing you just this images and I’m showing them at PPF, the perfect place to share.

Great to be back. Have a great day everybody!

Nora
